How to List Your Space on wenuru (Step-by-Step Guide)

A step-by-step guide to listing your studio, flat, café or vehicle on wenuru — what to prepare, the six-step form, pricing tips and how hosts get paid.

7 min read

Every week, creators across India go looking for somewhere to shoot. A founder needs a clean room with good light for a product video. A podcaster wants a quiet space with decent acoustics for two hours on a Saturday. An agency needs a flat that looks lived-in for a day of stills. They are all searching — and most of them are searching for a space that already exists, sitting empty, belonging to someone who never thought of it as a shoot location.

That is the opportunity. If you own or manage a photo studio, a podcast room, a café, a rooftop, an office floor, a villa, a farmhouse, or even a vintage car, you are holding inventory that a production team would pay by the hour to use. You do not need to be "in the industry." You need a space, some photographs of it, and a price.

This guide walks through how to list your space on wenuru, start to finish. The form itself is six steps and most hosts can finish it in one sitting, provided you have a few things ready before you begin.

Before you start

Gather these first. Nothing here is difficult, but hunting for it mid-form is what makes people abandon halfway.

Photographs of the space. This matters more than anything else you will do today. Shoot in daylight, tidy up first, and take wide shots that show the whole room rather than close-ups of details. You will upload a set of cover images, and you can also add a logo if you have one. Each image needs to be a JPEG, PNG, WEBP or GIF, and 5 MB or smaller.

The full address. Building or plot, landmark, city, state and pincode. Renters need to know how far they are travelling and what the surroundings are like.

A contact email and phone number for enquiries about the space. This can be different from your personal login.

A price in mind. Have a rough hourly figure in ₹ ready. Look at what comparable spaces are asking before you commit to a number — you can browse live listings on the wenuru homepage, or see what hosts in Chandigarh and Srinagar are charging by the hour.

Practical details about the space. Approximate area, ceiling height if it is a studio, what amenities you offer, whether there is parking nearby, how people get in, and any house rules. You will be asked for these, and the listings that answer them get fewer time-wasting enquiries.

Your GST number, if you have one. This is optional, so skip it if it does not apply to you.

How to list your space on wenuru: the six steps

Start from the List Your Space button in the site header, or the "List your space" section on the homepage. If you are not signed in, you will be asked to create an account first — you can sign up with your email, or with Google or Apple. Once you are in, wenuru switches your account to a host account and opens the listing form.

Step 1 — Location

Enter the address of the space: street address, a nearby landmark, city, state, pincode and country.

Tip: the landmark field earns its keep. "Opposite the metro station" tells a renter carrying lighting gear more than a pincode ever will.

Step 2 — Listing type

Choose what kind of space you are listing. The categories are Studio, Residential, Commercial and Vehicle, and within those you pick the specific service — podcast studio, photo studio, video, music studio, film city, flat, villa, mansion, farmhouse, office, café, restaurant, gym, cars or buses.

Tip: pick the category a renter would search for, not the one that sounds most impressive. Someone hunting for a place to record an episode searches "podcast studio," not "creative space."

Step 3 — Basic details

The longest step. You will add a listing title, its web address, a description, your contact email and phone, and the practical specifics: area, ceiling height, features, amenities, parking, access options and location rules. The GST number field sits here too and is optional.

Tip: write the description for someone deciding whether to travel across the city. Say what the space is genuinely good for and what it is not — a room that works beautifully for solo interviews but cannot fit a five-person crew should say so. The minimum length is short, but two or three honest paragraphs serve you far better than one line.

Step 4 — Branding

Upload your cover images and, if you have one, a logo. Your first cover image is the one renters see in search results.

Tip: lead with the widest, brightest, most honest photo you have. A slightly plain photograph that matches reality beats a flattering one that causes a bad review on arrival.

Step 5 — Pricing plans

Set your pricing for each service you offer. An hourly plan prices the space per hour, which is how most creative bookings work in India — a podcast episode, a two-hour product shoot. You can also add flat plans for longer blocks such as a half or full day. Every service needs at least one pricing plan before you can move on.

You also choose how bookings are confirmed: instantly, or with your manual approval on each request.

Tip: instant confirmation wins more bookings, because a creator planning a shoot for tomorrow evening will book the space that answers immediately. Choose manual approval if you genuinely need to vet every request. If you offer a full-day rate, price it below the sum of the hourly slots — day bookings are far less work for you.

Step 6 — Review and submit

Check the summary and submit. Your listing then goes to the wenuru team for review, and you are notified once it is approved and published. It does not appear publicly the moment you hit submit.

Tip: if you are launching around a specific date, submit with time in hand. You can keep editing after approval, so it is better to publish a solid listing early than to hold it back waiting for perfect photographs.

Tips to get more bookings

The listing is the easy part. These are what separate a space that gets booked from a space that sits on the platform.

Photograph the space properly. If you do one thing from this list, do this one. Shoot mid-morning, turn on the lights you actually have, and include the corners nobody thinks to photograph — the entrance, the washroom, the parking. Six good photographs beat twenty repetitive ones.

Price honestly for your city and your room. A rate that undercuts everyone attracts enquiries, but the wrong ones. A rate well above comparable spaces needs justifying in your photographs and amenities. Check what similar spaces in your city ask, and position yourself deliberately.

List every amenity, including the boring ones. Power backup. Air conditioning. Wi-Fi speed. A washroom. Somewhere to park a tempo. Whether there is a lift. Production teams filter on exactly these, and an unlisted amenity is an amenity you do not get credit for.

Reply fast. Shoot planning happens on short notice. A reply within the hour frequently wins the booking outright.

Keep availability accurate. Nothing costs you repeat business faster than accepting a booking you then have to cancel.

Be exact about what is included. If lights and a backdrop come with the room, say so. If they cost extra, say that too, and say how much. Surprise charges on arrival are the single fastest way to earn a poor review.

How you get paid

Payouts are made by bank transfer or UPI, so add your bank account details and IFSC code in your host profile before your first booking clears. Your dashboard has a Payouts section listing each payout and its status — pending, completed or failed — so you can see exactly where your money is.

On earnings: what you make depends on your hourly rate, your city and how often the space is booked, so treat any figure you see quoted online with suspicion, including ours. A room booked eight hours a month at ₹1,500 an hour is a different business from one booked eighty. What you can control is the rate you set and how bookable you make the space look.

Verification and trust

Listings are reviewed before they go live, which protects you as much as it protects renters — it keeps the platform free of the scraped, fake and duplicated listings that make classified sites unusable.

You can also verify your host account from your profile by uploading supporting documents: a government ID, a business registration, or proof that you own or manage the space. Up to five files, as PDF, JPG or PNG, with an optional document number and note. The wenuru team reviews them, and verified hosts carry a badge on their listing. Renters comparing two similar spaces tend to book the one that looks accountable.
